A recent federal study by the University of Akron, in partnership with Head Start programs, found that children who used eBooks in the classroom to learn how to read had higher success and focused longer on the books (as long as the books were designed properly and didn't have any extra 'bells and whistles.') And even more interestingly, kids with behavioral and cognitive issues focused even longer than kids without these issues.
