6.1941 - Lwów, Poland: “Glory to Hitler, glory to Bandera!” A welcome sign to the entering German and Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) troops. Stepan Bandera (1909-1959) was a Ukrainian revolutionary politician and one of the leaders in Western Ukraine (Galicia), who headed the OUN. He was responsible for the proclamation of an Independent Ukrainian State in Lwów on 6.30.1941, eight days after Germany's attack against the USSR.
