Sweet Refrigerator Dill Pickles 7 c. thinly sliced cucumbers 1 c. thinly sliced onions 1 c. diced green bell pepper 1 T. pickling salt 2 c. sugar 1 c. white vinegar 1 T. celery seed big sprig of dill Combine veggies & salt in large heat-proof bowl. Stir & let sit for 1 hr. Drain. In pan over medium heat, stir & disolve in sugar with vinegar, & celery seed. Pour hot mixture over cucumbers. Add dill & cool. Transfer to jars with lids & refrigerate 2 days. Keeps or a few weeks.
