Queen Elizabeth II's garnet parure, gift from the Czech Republic. In 1996, during her State visit to the Czech Republic, Queen Elizabeth II received as gift from the Municipality of Brno a very nice garnet and gold parure, comprising a necklace, a bracelet, a brooch and a pair of earrings. Unfortunately, the Queen has never worn this parure publicly. She has only worn the brooch once, for a divine service at Sandringham on 1st January, 2006

'Danny Jewel' c1550, English. Gold and narwhal tusk: Renaissance pendants were sometimes made as amulets as a protection against danger. At that time people believed that the horn of the dolphin-like narwhal came from unicorns. They valued it highly as a detector of poison in food and drink. This pendant formerly belonged to the Campion family of Danny in Sussex
