Probably my all time fave Dillards tune; some nice vocals here as well from Maggie Peterson. In 1968, Doug Dillard (Banjo) would hook up with Gene Clark from The Byrds, and release the album, "The Expedition Of Dillard & Clark". For any Byrds fans, please check out my You Tube channel dedicated to the band: http://www.youtube.com/mcd220...

.Dillards playing Buckin Mule (broken string version) .Recorded 9-27-63 to be aired on CBS's Judy Garland Show. The Dillards (Doug Dillard, Rodney Dillard, Dean Webb and Mitch Jayne) play "Buckin' Mule". Doug makes the sounds of a braying mule on his banjo in one of the more unique bluegrass tunes. In this version, he gets more than braying. For more info on the Dillards.
