Wisconsin license plate on rustic birdhouse for wren, chickadee or nuthatch - whitetail antler perch
Rustic looking wren birdhouse with Wisconsin or Minnesota license plate roof and whitetail deer antler perch. The hole is 1 1/4 so only wrens, chickadees and nuthatches will fit. NO SPARROWS! The roof is screwed on for easy removal for end of the season clean out. If you would like I can drill the hole bigger so a bluebird can use it. I can also add a hanger wire if desired. Specify if you would rather have a Minnesota plate when making the purchase. I have several other states licens...
Start with a wooden basket that is 8 or 12 inches in diameter. Gather a bundle of birch branches. Cut off the fine tips, then cut the branches into varying lengths (6 to 12 inches). Using 24-gauge brown wire, secure the end of a branch to the base of the basket. Bend the branch along the basket's curve, wiring every 4 or 5 inches so that loose ends stick out. Repeat with remaining branches, overlapping them to conceal the basket.
To make the laundry room really stand out we decided to design and paint a laundry room mural on the main wall. We also added a built-in folding station and carried the same green from the kitchen island into this space.
