Ted Roosevelt was one of the first soldiers off his landing craft as he led the U.S. 4th Infantry Division's 8th Infantry Regiment and 70th Tank Battalion landing at Utah Beach on D-Day. Like his father, Teddy Roosevelt, he was awarded the Medal of Honor. They are one of only two father-son recipients of the Medal of Honor. (The other father-son combo is Arthur MacArthur and Douglas MacArthur.)

Theodore Roosevelt, Jr., also known as T.R. or Teddy, was the 26th President of the United States (1901-1909). He and First Lady Edith Roosevelt selected Wedgwood, imported by Van Husen Charles Company. This is one of a total of 120 pieces selected by The First Lady in 1903. She chose from among several English and Porcelain samples. The only dramatic change being the addition of the Great Seal of The United States.

One of my personal heroes. He was an extremely tough and intelligent man, as well as being one our best presidents. All men should strive to live like him.
