People magazine called the show "revolutionary," and Newsday concurred that it was a "real breakthrough."

Family ,was on ABC from 1976-1980..a great show about the Lawrence family,and the joys and heart aches they went thru as a family. i hated when it wen off. It was a great show".Buddy"(Kristy McNichol) really made the show awesome!
