Learning about Taste Buds - super clever idea for learning about the various things we taste with our tongue! Perfect for preschool, kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade kids in homeschool science
Sense of Taste Students would first taste different foods and try to tell where the taste buds are being activated for each food. We would then fill out the tongue and label foods that we tried and foods that also fit into the categories

Covering the tongue's surface are scale-like projections called filiform papillae, which sense pressure. The round areas (purple) are fungiform papillae, which contain the taste buds.
