Sometimes or they act like they don't understand and you're the bad guy when you treat them like they treated you all along. It was no big deal while they were doing it (because "that's just how they are" or "they were just trying to make so and so happy"), but you're just mean when give them they same treatment that they have given you the entire time you've known them!
via | it's always necessary / it still hurts though, esp when it is family who do not believe you are really sick. i was on disability 3 months after my application. but even that great miracle does not convince them. that really hurts to the core of my being, i see that pain as another disease i have to cope with, i don't think i will ever recover from this wound.
This inspires me to treat people in a nice way because that is mostly what they are going to remember of me. It reminds me that that even on my bad days I need to make an effort to cherish those I love.
