ABU DHABI- The UAE Geometrical Forest is an architectural forest that is integrated into its environment. Attached to the tree structure is a lightweight membrane, with the tree leaves shadowing and filtering the Arabic sun. The tree structure consists of four identical types of trees growing into a second type that forms the dome that spans the centre of the court.
Arboreal Architecture: Taking Inspiration from Trees
This banqueting hall in Mumbai, India looks almost elvish with its white branches, which give the impression of an avenue of snow-covered trees. The design, which was part of a renovation of historic colonial buildings in India, was partially inspired by the beautiful ‘rain trees’ that surround the site.
