Dr. Trevor Stauber was raised in Oregon where he attended Oregon State University, majoring in General Science. He went on to complete his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, and then finished his Doctorate and Master's in Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. Odell Horton (1929-2006) was the first African American United States federal judge and first US assistant district attorney in Tennessee. He received a B.A. from Morehouse College in 1951 and received an LL.B. from Howard University School of Law in 1956. He was an assistant U.S. Attorney of the Western District of Tennessee from 1962 to 1968. He was a judge on the Shelby County Criminal Court, Tennessee from 1969 to 1970. He was President of Lemoyne-Owen College from 1970 to 1974.
