Hadrian's Wall, England...constructed in 122 AD to mark the northern border of the Roman Empire in Britain, the wall stretched across the width of Great Britain just south of the present day border with Scotland.
South of the Border...Mexico? Nope! NC/SC! Just look for Pedro and his HUGE sombrero. Oh man...this place was like it's own little city dedicated to Pedro. Every store was Pedro's. Go there. Now. Before you die. Because it will make you want to live. ;)
The Border Between the 'Two Englands'. In Great Britain as in the US, two cultural sub-nations identify themselves (and the other) as North and South. There is a place used as shorthand for describing the divide, with the rougher, poorer North and wealthier, middle-to-upper-class South referring to each other as ‘on the other side of the Watford Gap’.
Would be a great road trip! Drive from the Alberta, Canada / Montana border to the Arizona / Mexico border with plenty of amazing stops along the way, like Yellowstone National Party, the Rocky Mountains, and the Grand Canyon.
