Add these to the dryer after washing down comforters to FLUFF them up again, and redistribute the down...  
PS - this is working really, really well!  I just keep a ball in the dryer at all times - and things are softer than ever!  I throw a lavender sheet in there when I want some scent, and voila - soft and lovely smelling!
