Tell the EPA: Ban toxic oil dispersants_ The BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill was the worst environmental disaster in American history. BP’s experimental use of Corexit dispersants made the problem worse by causing more harm to wildlife and people. Ban toxic dispersants without delay to avoid repeating the same public health and environmental tragedies that EPA allowed in the Gulf of Mexico.
Water is more valuable than gold! Do your students know the impact that water – or the lack of it – is having on life in the Middle East? In this activity, students will work in groups of 4 to research the Middle East water crises. In expert groups, student will read and take notes on the water crises and the issues it is currently causing in the Middle East. They will then share their information and create a Problem/Solution Map describing current conditions in the Middle East.
