Utilizing a modified Howe truss, the bridge is about 49 feet in length and 12 feet wide and cost about $400. Although the bridge was abandoned in the late 1920’s or early 1930’s, the Monroe county Historical Society leased it in 1965. A brother of the original builders was hired to strengthen it.
