"Worksheet with list of functions that precalculus students ought to come to know very very well (y=x, y=x^2, y=x^3, y=x^-1, y=x^1/2, etc). Early in the year, I spend five minutes of class having students fill out as much of the first page as they can and then I collect them (but don't grade them). We repeat this off and on until most people can do the whole page in five minutes. Later, we do the same thing with the second page (trig, log and exponential functions).
