Bullying is a word that gets thrown around a lot these days when anything goes wrong between peers. It is our job to make sure students understand what constitutes bullying in order for them to use it appropriately when uncomfortable or unsafe circumstances arise.
This is a set of 11 common elementary school scenarios. Students in small group (or could be a file folder activity) decide if they should tell the teacher about what is happening. EXM: - It is snowing or raining outside during class. - Someone is bullying someone else on the playground.
I strive each day not to do these things...sometimes a person doesn't realize they are doing them. The key is to be aware of your own actions and words and refrain and/or correct. It is up to each individual. Don't make excuses, just learn to treat others better.
