Doberman - Beautiful dog - so sad that poor breeding is what brings this out. Potential health issues, but still the same wonderful breed! I would happily bring one home :))

And lastly, if they weren't infinitely expensive and I could actually find one, I would love to get a white / albino doberman.

*EDIT 6/7/2014: This is the info from the old Doberman guide I made: These are all the possible colors that Doberman Pinschers can come in. All Doberman colors, but white, also come with rust point...

White doberman. Gorgeous dogs. Can you believe they used to kill any white pups? And the parents that had them?

Sweet face....white Dobie is a recessive gene (albino gene). Not "RARE" as some will try to promote for sales purposes. White Dobie's may or may not be deaf, partial or full blindness, different health issues. They still have the WONDERFUL personalities and temperaments of the breed. This little girl is precious.

You dont see very many White Dobermans but they are cool. Dobermans themselves are not a rare breed, but the white coloring is very rare and often undesirable.

Doberman Pinscher color and markings. Allowed Colors: Black, red, blue, and fawn. Markings: Rust, sharply defined, appearing above each eye and on muzzle, throat and forechest, on all legs and feet, and below tail. White patch on chest, not exceeding ½ square inch, permissible. Besides the more common color’s seen in the Doberman—Black & Rust and Red & Rust—there are the”DILUTES” of these two colors—Blue is a “dilute” of Black—Fawn is a “dilute” of Red.

I can't decide if the gene dysfunction of a white doberman is a deformity or not. I've read so many things on how it is and it isn't. I want to have the option of purchasing one when I start looking for my own Dobe, but I just don't know. I follow tons of people on IG that have one and they all look so healthy just like the red and black ones I see. CONFUSING.
