On the left is William Bradford's "Mayflower" Bible. On the right is a Blunderbuss gun. Actually he brought more than one bible. The one his grandfather read to him from is in my family. It is very brittle. My great grandmother was Lerna May Bradford.
The Mayflower Compact: was the first governing document of Plymouth Colony. It was written by the Separatists, fleeing religious persecution from James VI and I. They traveled aboard the Mayflower in John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley
William Bradford (March 1590 – May was an English Separatist leader of settlers at Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts. He served as governor for over 30 years after the previous governor, John Carver, died.
