From these written reflections, I am asking students to participate in a group "graffiti wall" of sorts. If they have a reaction, a theory, an explanation, or some other thought of significance, they can come write it on a speech bubble and place it on our Wonderboard. We can then use those discussion points to deepen our understanding of the text.
Wonder Bulletin Board...used white chalk on place paper to write precept at top and then created all of the characters. My class finished this up by writing their own precepts and illustrating them. They did these on large white notecards and we added them as the border. All of the kids always look at it as the pass it in the hallway!
