It makes 3 1/2 cups--can be halved. 3-4 lg shallots (4 oz) chopped, 2 1/2 T all spice, 1 T mace, 2 t cayenne, 1/4 nutmeg, grated, 3/4 t salt, 2 oz anchovies, drained of oil, 3 oz (about 1/3 c) soy sauce, 3 c apple-cider vinegar.
