The Ahwahnee Lodge, Yosemite. How I wish I could be there again :). Can't believe I was lucky enough to be married in this beautiful National Park!

This famous tree is located in the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees, a pleasurable drive of 36 miles from the hotels and camps in Yosemite Valley. The “Wawona” tree is 227 feet tall and 90 feet in circumference. In this grove, more than six hundred giant Sequoias have been growing here for centuries; sequoias are the largest and oldest trees.

We love Yosemite. Going back for Darin's birthday this year. We can't wait to go to the park on vacation with our kids when they are old enough.

Yosemite. Not just a great valley, but a shrine to human foresight, the strength of granite, the power of glaciers, the persistence of life, and the tranquility of the High Sierra. First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more. Exploring Yosemite Valley by bicycle opens a world of possibilities that aren't afforded by car. In addition to having an endless supply of bike parking (you can pull off just about anywhere), you have the open air freedom to take in the scenery while cruising and can stop on a whim to tour an a magnificent meadow, gaze up at granite monoliths, or warm up in front of a fire at the historic Ahwahnee Hotel.
