Many would agree that for inquiry to be alive and well in a classroom that, amongst other things, the teacher needs to be expert at asking strategic questions. With that in mind, if you are a new teacher or perhaps not so new but know that question-asking is an area where you'd like to grow, start tomorrow with these five ideas.
PotC - Dead men tell no tales (May 2017). I enjoyed it. It is a little slow to get started and it was clearly using the blueprint of the original film. The bank robbery was unecessary. But the new characters were engaging, the story fun and the special effects great. And the end scene (and the post credit scene) toatally worth the price of the ticket alone. 3 stars.
It would be cool to have a room you could decorate with all of your favorite movies, one corner LOTR & Hobbit, one corner Narnia, and one corner star wars, and you can put the sign in the middle of the room. :) Brilliant.
Dance Academy Movie (april 2017) really enjoyed this continuation of the tv series - good performances, great dancing, beautifully shot and a good story that does a great job of getting into Tara's head. Loved it all except for the all-too-convenient match up of Ben and Kat. No thanks. 3 stars
Beauty and the Beast (Mar 2017) Loved this so much! Really fantastic staging and production - good cast (all if them!) and true to the classic Disney animation. The Beast's "Evermore" is the standout song. 4.5 stars.
