Artist Emily Kngwarreye's 'Emily’s Dreaming' (1996). "The New York modernists could only create their art by rebelling against all artistic tradition – it seems they needed to escape the burden of civilization in order to reach our collective unconscious. By contrast Emily got there effortlessly, allowing her tradition to flower through her art. In the end, the more arduous route forced upon Pollock and co. can only make us wonder whether the human journey has distanced ourselves from our…

William Blake's painting 'Albion Arose'. From blog post titled: ''Good & Evi'' debate fires up as Australia burns': "'How can we be redeemed?' is a question that needs to be answered before we digress into more symptomatic subjects like global climate change. For me the best and indeed only real and lasting answer on the subject is Jeremy Griffith’s explanation of the human condition."

Jeremy Griffith created this monumental sun from shells collected from one small beach in Sydney, Australia. While cockle shells are found on sandy sheltered beaches throughout the world, Jeremy has never seen these pure gold-coloured ones on any other beach. He also found the large white scallop shell on the same beach, and he’s never seen a large white one like this before or since. The whole picture is positively bursting with excitement!

Self help. Michael Leunig. "Before reading biologist Jeremy Griffith’s work, I had no idea that much of Leunig’s cartoons contained such profound honesty about the human condition, I just found them wonderfully irreverent & ironic...I still love Leunig’s cartoons...for me they remain like streaks of sunlight poking through a dark sky...there are so few people who are able to offer any real honesty or insight into the human condition." www.worldtransformation.com/appreciating-michael-leunig/
