Durham Colliery, #Redhead #NSW circa 1894. Later Lambton B Colliery. 16km South of #Newcastle. Lambton Colliery at Redhead was originally owned by The Scottish Australian Mining Co. and named Ryhope. In 1890 a report on Newcastle collieries stated that its technology was generally unequalled in the Southern Hemisphere.
