Reconnecting ... Kika Markham at Roy Redgrave's Vaucluse grave, Sydney. At historic Vaucluse Cemetery overlooking the Pacific Ocean, she has found the unkempt grave of Roy Redgrave, the grandfather of her husband Corin Redgrave, of the English acting dynasty.

Roy Redgrave.(1873 – 1922) was an English stage and silent film actor who spent much of his career in Australia, and died penniless in Darlinghurst, Sydney in 1922,. Redgrave is considered to be the first member of the Redgrave acting dynasty.

Roy Redgrave - The Sydney Morning Herald 27 May 1922, page 14. started the famous acting dynasty. He used to live just down the hill from Tara’s Darlinghurst Public School in what was then called Woolcott Street (now a freeway just between Womerah Ave and Bayswater Rd). He died at the then Sisters of Charity Sacred Heart Hospice (Est 1890) for the dying at 170 Darlinghurst Road. Roy was buried at South Head / Vaucluse Cemetery.

May WIRTH, Australia's bareback queen May Wirth (1894 – 1978) was an Australian circus and vaudeville performer famous for her ability to do somersaults forwards and backwards on a running horse. She was inducted to the Circus Hall of Fame as a bareback rider in 1963. She performed with the Barnum and Bailey circus in the United States,and was the star of Wirth's Circus in 1916 as the "greatest bareback riding star"
