Gallery Of Small Things (GOST) on Instagram: "Adam and I were lucky to hear Lindy Lee @lindylee.13 speak at the Annual Lecture @nationalgalleryaus on Thursday night last week. Such a down to earth, heartfelt talk about her life, studies overseas in London and Australia, navigating her way through becoming an artist, beliefs, determination and sheer love of creating with like minded skilled experts @uapcompany to fulfill an imagined piece in reality. I was blown away with Lindy’s stories, the…
Anne Masters on Instagram: "Continuing my tourist moments with Helen. This is inside the Australian War Memorial and Annette Blair is the glass artist behind this sculptural installation. We all loved it from the many angles you could see from looking up the staircase and down and across from the landing at the top. It’s a comforting piece of artwork filled with light, soft colours and movement. Congrats to Annette, her exceptional team and Canberra Glassworks for realizing this permanent…
Gallery Of Small Things (GOST) on Instagram: "From pod houses on the Gold Coast to an art trienniale in Brisbane - I’m loving my mini holiday. I booked into a really nice Airbnb located in Newstead which is in the heart of Fortitude valley. I’ve walked everywhere and when needed travelled on buses and ferries. What I’ve enjoyed about this trip is breaking it up for a few days to have a little time out. I’m such the homebody and relished being out all day meandering and then crashing in the…
Gallery Of Small Things (GOST) on Instagram: "Big! That’s the Gold Coast with homes, towers, beaches and everything else in between. This is my first trip this way staying at Palm Beach to celebrate my dear friend’s 50th. We’ve done two road trips - one south to see Currumbin, Kirra, Coolangatta and the NSW border. Then we went north via Burleigh Heads, Broadbeach, Miami, Northcliffe and Surfers Paradise. I can’t believe how many high rises, art deco, 70s style hotels and homes, 50s/60s…
Anne Masters on Instagram: "A fabulous mini getaway to have a family Christmas with Adam’s family. The first for me in 7 years. The only downside to running a micro business and making tough choices. But I’m so glad I could make it and catch up with 30 Masters, in laws, nieces and nephews (and grand ones too!) and a close family friend. This is in Echuca, Victoria and I love all the older buildings which have been restored. A quaint street in a vibrant and busy rural mini city. I’ll post a…
Anne Masters on Instagram: "In Sydney for a little getaway. Rach knows I love walking the suburb and checking out the different styles of home in Rosebery. She took me in her 1hr route to show me various homes. It’s an interesting mix of Federation, Modern and Spanish. The terrace house was in Marrickville. We met up with Libby and checked out the Sydney Ceramics market which was fantastic. We found a Japanese place for a late lunch, then Rach and I hit the city for a bit of girlie…
Anne Masters on Instagram: "Sydney how I love thee! Even with its crazy traffic, I have this love of the Sydney Harbour Bridge where I prefer to drive across than go under the harbour tunnel. Funny enough, when I was meant to be heading to Cremorne from Bobbin’s head, Sat nav decided to take me to Canberra via the bridge 🤦🏼♀️. I clearly had a tourist moment of not knowing the lanes anymore as I tried to figure out how I was going to turn around…you can’t do that on the bridge! It was…
Gallery Of Small Things (GOST) on Instagram: "A little boat among the big fancy smancy boats. I’ve never been to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park located in Sydney’s north. A 35 min drive from Cremorne and you are in scenic Bobbin Heads. My friend Kathy recommended a mangrove walk and lunch afterwards near the marina at Waterside Bistro. A gorgeous sunny day. But, deceptively cool … you need a jumper, beanie and gloves. We saw tiny crabs, met a bird watcher looking for yellow honeyeaters…
Gallery Of Small Things (GOST) on Instagram: "We are closed 18-21 July for a mini winter break. I’m in Sydney to catch up with a dear friend for her 60th, visit the NSW Art gallery and the State Library. It’s a flying visit and I wish I could visit friends and artists but I’m keen for solo time out. Check out stories for today’s views of the harbour from Woolwarra-jeung / wulworra-jeong (Cremorne Point)."

Anne Masters on Instagram: "Wooh! I did 13,299 steps, 45 floors and nearly 9kms of walking in Cremorne alone! I reckon I’ll sleep well tonight! I’m loving Cremorne Point and the walks I’ve been on so far. Today’s adventure took me to Robertson’s Point lighthouse. Hardly a soul around as I soaked up sun rays on the rocks in my woolies of course! No swimming for this one! I then walked from here to Cremorne Point Garden and Walk, then to Mosman’s Rowers for coffee and later lunch. It’s been…
Gallery Of Small Things (GOST) on Instagram: "This time last year I was swimming laps at this art deco pool in Vienna, Austria. Instead I’m wearing multiple layers of jumpers, leggings, thermal wear - anything to stay warm as Canberra plunges with icy cold winds, grey skies and winter rains. Stay warm everyone 🧣🧣. PS swipe to see awesome ceramic tiles in the foyer."
Anne Masters on Instagram: "I love the architectural patterns of a flight of steps I photographed @tate Modern in London last September. The building is the former Bankside Power Station and I remember being overawed by the turbine hall, looming steel frames and vastness of an industrial setting. Such a different space to expect artworks but for modern and contemporary art it’s fitting."
Anne Masters on Instagram: "Recently I went to Shellharbour, NSW to deliver workshops wearing my gallery hat. I’ll post about that on @galleryofsmallthingscbr this week. If you are looking for a quaint seaside town, I highly recommend visiting as I enjoyed checking out the local church for its unusual architecture, eating a very nice meal on the harbour side and driving in some awful rain that came and went in 24hrs. This is the Airbnb I stayed in. My first tiny house, which I loved of…
