Australia - Northern Territory, Darwin, Ghan and Uluru

The Northern Territory is the third largest Australian federal division but the least populous of Australia's major states and territories, having half as many people as Tasmania. Today the economy is based on mining and on tourism, especially Kakadu National Park and the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (Ayers Rock). The capital city is Darwin. The population is concentrated in towns along the Stuart Highway including Palmerston, Alice Springs, Katherine, Nhulunbuy and Tennant Creek.
