Tucked away in the uber cool Burnett Lane, this new industrial bar offers a range of craft beers, boutique wines, classic and original cocktails, and gourmet snackery. Super Whatnot is an exercise in great design with its giant upturned cotton spools acting as atmospheric, low-hanging lights, and bathrooms that are caves of polished cement. With only a limited amount of seating, we hope it takes Brisbane a while to catch on to this gem.
We love us a cool Asian eatery, so it's no suprise we're already big fans of late-night Thai restaurant and bar, Longtime in the Fortitude Valley. Longtime has a focus on Thai street food and share plates, as well as a cracking cocktails menu, i.e. all the best bits of Thai cuisine. Couple this with the fact that this new Thai restaurant is open late, and you've found your new pre-night out dinner spot.
Underground Brisbane live music venue and bar, Brooklyn Standard is bringing a dose of a cool to Eagle Lane. With a variety of musical genres hitting the stage six nights a week, including funk, soul, blues, rockabilly, and more, a well stocked bar, and a Brooklyn-approved vibe, Brooklyn Standard is a new Brisbane bar you should definitely check out.
A welcome addition to the suburban Brisbane bar scene, The Junk Bar embraces shabby chic, and a retro vibe, with lounges, trinkets, and old records all around.

Taking naming rights from the beautiful heritage-listed building it calls home, John Mills Himself is a very cool cage come bar, serving up delicious freshly-ground coffee coupled with tasty nibblies — sourced organically and locally where possible. Creative use of a heritage listed building with delicious coffee by day and much-needed post work drinks by night — John Mills Himself is genius!
Not a duo that typically mixes well, The Fox & Rabbit Coffee Co. nether the less brings these two together in a charming and quirky hole-in-the-wall Brisbane cafe, with specialty coffee and a cracking all-day breakfast menu. Open for supper every weeknight too, Tuesday night is Nerd Night at The Fox & Rabbit, where patrons can partake in their fave vintage board games and generally geek out.
