***I have driven this road*** The world's longest, straightest part of a road is the 90 Mile Straght (146.6km) - a section of the Eyre Highway which runs across the Nullabor Plain, from Western Australia and into South Australia. Crossing the Nullabor at (silly) speed will take 24 hours. But its better to take 4 days or more to explore the many country towns, see the Great Australian Bight, the desert, the roadhouses and TRY to spot a tree as you drive along the highway(Nullabor = treeless).
