Chakravyuh ("wheel formation") is a military formation used to surround enemies, during war, in the Hindu epic Mahabharatha. It resembles a labyrinth of multiple defensive walls that only four people in the Pandavas’ army knew how to break. Abhimanyu, the most loved of all sons of the Pandavas learnt about the art of breaking into the Chakravyuh when he was in his mother’s womb (as related to by Lord Krishna) but didn’t have the opportunity to learn how to escape the formation.
