Analogous colours are directly beside each other on the colour wheel and are meant to blend harmoniously with one another.

this painting is analogous because the only colors are blues and a little bit of green.

This is an example of Analogous. In this illustration, the artist used yellow , red , yellow –red and it tints and shades to create artwork. Yellow and its tint seems to be colour that make the art work stand out.

4th grade created these triple scoop ice cream cones. They look delicous enough to eat! We used analogous colors to shade the scoops, along with a little hatching and cross hatching to resemble a pen and ink drawing.

Analogous colors: Colors that are adjacent to each other on the color wheel, for example, blue, blue-violet, and violet. An analogous color scheme is based on the idea of a color family, using two or three neighboring hues from the color circle as a starting point.
