This portable wooden shrine is one of a few surviving examples made during the Ptolemaic Dynasty (305–30 BCE), the last dynasty of ancient Egypt. It was used to carry deities during temple ceremonies and outdoor festivals. The decoration includes four detachable birds, one on each corner, as well as painted scenes of the eight gods of creation on two sides. The ibis-headed god Thoth is represented on one door, and the falcon-headed god Horus is on the other. F1907.4a-g

We often share spiritual group experiences on our tours. This is a photograph of one of our trips to visit Sekmet at Karnak Temple in Egypt. The "shrine" or "chapel" is well known for mysterious occurrences. Having personally witnessed several interesting events there myself, i can attest to the locations mystique.
