The 2003 documentary chronicles the relationship between Mark Bittner and a flock of feral cherry-headed conure parrots that he fed and interacted with in San Francisco. Mingus lived indoors with Mark, but was moved to the Oasis Sanctuary in 1998 but was easily 5-10 years older. Sadly, Mingus passed away at the sanctuary on December 4, 2013.
