McLemore Ave and try out the Stax Recording Studio run by Estelle Axton and Jim Stewart. Stax had some of the best recording artists from Otis Redding, Booker T and the MG’s, Carla Thomas (yes Rufus was her Dad) to Isaac Hayes and one super cool record store called Satellite Records. Estelle was also one of the first women of music, started Memphis Music Association with Cordell Jackson and was honoured by the Memphis Music Hall of Fame in 2012 . All legends.
