After struggling to get her brand up and running for many years, Anna Sui’s supermodel friends Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista finally convinced her to do her own runway show in 1991. With a little help (she paid the models with clothes) Sui pulled together a small show in the Meatpacking District and the rest is history.
