Bedankt alvast, Miriam Free patterns earlier published on <a…

When I searched for Drawn-Thread techniques for making a fringed hem, I didn't quite find what I wanted. So after practicing various other techniques so that I got the idea down, I figured out a set of stitches to get a pretty fringed hem, using the threads from the fabric itself (rather than sewing on a separate fringe). I made a rather pretty apron with it! Download the pattern (thanks, Claudia!) Week 1 Week 2 Hi everyone! I am really loving this stitchalong idea - I love checking into our pool and these comments and seeing all the creative ways you've been interpreting this design. I love how you leave things out, flip the design around, the different colors you choose - this has been so much fun! So, as you saw last week - I spent most of my time changing my mind and choosing blues to contrast with the bright pinks: But once I made up my mind…

Stitched with various scraps of thread on a Stef Francis hand dyed evenweave - it's a more attractive light green/beige than it shows here. I have only done this stitch by accident previously and always filled the holes with a bead or French Knot. This time I made the holes deliberately and left them to show the stitch. www.flickr.com/groups/tast/ Brazilian Embroidery, Silk Ribbon Embroidery, Ribbon Work, Embroidery Ideas, Embroidery Inspiration, Ribbon Embroidery, Embroidery And Stitching, Beautiful Embroidery, Sashiko
