Using the following materials: Map pins, Foam board, Graph paper, Mod Podge Paint brush, and Rubber bands the teacher will model how a geoboard is made. One side of the foam board will be covered in Mod Podge and a sheet of graph paper will be attached. Once it’s dry, cut the board/paper to fit. Paint the sharp end of a map pin with Mod Podge, and push it into the foam board. Keep adding pins to the board at even intervals. Allow to dry, and you’re ready to start adding shapes!

A geoboard is mathematical manipulative that is used to test students’ knowledge about basic plane geometry topics including perimeter, area, and the properties of triangles and other polygons.
