When I first decided to draw an axolotl, I was drawn to its unique features. Its wide smile and feathery gills on the sides of its head make it unlike any other creature. I started with a simple pencil sketch, focusing on getting the shape of its body right. It was a bit tricky at first, figuring out how to draw its tiny, delicate limbs, but with a little patience, I started to see my axolotl come to life on the page.
