It's graduation season and this year I decided to try something new - making leis.My oldest graduated from college. I wanted to make her a ribbon lei that she can keep as a memento and also a live floral lei in celebration of this moment. I searched online and there are tons of tutorials. And then I set off. Money Leis for Graduation. I watched a youtube video of Jack TopasArt. New bills work best; order from bank. OLD bills must be Washed/rinsed to remove oils; dirt makes tape not stick, then iron old bills flat; I did not use starch. I ran out of ribbon so I suggest 10 feet of ribbon. 1/4" wide ribbon used here. Beads from Joann's in kids craft area. Time: 5-6 hours. You will save time if you have new bills.
