A Haida woman who was abducted and brought to Tsimshian territory, was married to a Chief's son and had several children. Those descendants of Property-Making-a-Noise House who chose to return to Haida Gwaii brought back with them the Beaver Crest. In this depiction of the Crest, Beaver's identifying elements are his prominent incisor teeth and his cross-hatched tail.

Alvin Child was born in Alert Bay in 1962 as the second child of John Alvin Dudoward and Irene Willie. When Alvin was one year old, his father passed away, and the family relocated to Nanaimo, BC.
