'Precious' and 'Monster's Ball' director Lee Daniels is in talks to create a new film, 'Selma,' about the historic 1965 march in Alabama town Selma, that signified the height of the Civil Rights movement. Daniels will partner with producer Christian Colson ('Slumdog Millionaire') to bring the screenplay, written by Paul Webb ('Lincoln'), to life. Brad Pitt's Plan B will co-produce, according to Variety. It seems like Lee is the right guy for the right story.

I worked on "Precious" and it was amazing to meet Gabby Sidibe. She was so much fun. We used to improvise these stories in front of the crew who didn't know if we were making it up or not. But then when she did some of her scenes and director Lee Daniels made her do them over and over again, I had to leave the set, I was crying so much. It was nothing to her to act. Just playing. I think it's the same to her whether she's making you laugh or tearing your heart out.
