The purpose isn't to convince anyone one way or another of whether Jesus had siblings or not (I do not believe He did). However, the verse that is often used to "prove" he has siblings actually shows that the term "brother" (and "sister") was regularly used for cousin or kinsman. James, Joses, Judas, and Simon were sons of Mary, wife of Clopas - therefore cousins of Jesus.
