Bertha is a 1970’s 16ft Millard. We sourced and renovated this vintage van for our client who was after a vintage Boho style van.

We've all fallen in love with Carlene and Michael Duffy's inspiring makeovers of vintage caravans. In their new book, This Old Van, the designer/builder duo of Cedar + Suede introduce us to their latest vintage belle, Goldie.

Sandy has aged well, she was in relatively good condition for 47 years…a rare find. We gave her a complete refresh. The aim was to keep as much with the 70’s colour scheme as as possible but still keeping things light, bright, airy and most importantly a cozy homely feeling.

It was the summer of 69 when Frankie was built… and 51 years on she is still going strong! Frankie is a rare van, you do not often see many Franklins around, especially not in Queensland. Frankie’s renovation is still underway…..

So, do you remember the vintage caravan we bought about a month and a half ago? It seems like years ago! We were so excited to renovate this Thomson Mini Glen (manufactured in Falkirk, Scotland) and use it for primarily our Rust Jewellery wedding/events and vintage shop and also for a little bit of adventuring too ; ) It took us longer than we wanted, firstly, we weren't allowed to work on it at the barn storage where we were going to keep it. So we had to find another place to use…
