The Garage Revolution Mazda RX7 was the quickest car at Japan's Tsukuba Circuit in 2009. While a bit close to a GT car we invited them to Australia as the benchmark car to beat. They turned up in 2011 and came a respectable 3rd with a time of 1:30 on an unfamiliar track. Respect.

Never have I been so stricken by a 1600/2000 GT. This car has managed to pull off a combination of classic street car looks with modern race car sensibilities, and it just oozes presence. When I saw the air jacks deploy I almost lost it. And those mismatched wheels are just great. Unloaded off the trailer the owner fired it up to reveal the sound that only a pissed off blender filled with gravel could produce. It was glorious.
