Victorian terraced house alcoves. This cupboard was here when we moved in but was painted cream with a tiled top. I made a paper template of the top and took it to a local timber merchant who cut a peice of thick ply which I then stuck down over the tiles with silicone. I then sanded it all down and repainted with Annie Sloane chalk paint in Aubusson blue to match the freestanding unit in the other alcove.
