Wide fireplace mantle decor

We kept it really simply. Very doable. We left the mantel and firebox as is. We relocated and replaced the sconces (they were too high and too wide and certainly not cool enough). We aligned the sconces with the sides of the mantle. Whereas before they were sort of floating on the wall, apropos to nothing. We also replaced the TV with a mirror. You know we don't love TVs above fireplaces, although they are necessary in some spaces. Finally, we added simple decor to pull it all together. ⁠
