Books for Early Emergent Readers

This is a group of books that I have found early emergent students often engage with. It isn't a definitive list - that would be impossible! I recognise that there are books that may engage one student, and not another. But these are ones that a number of students who are just learning about books have engaged with. Some of them are best sung or chanted - and that is definitely a factor in the engagement! Some of them have a number of similar books which also work e.g. xxx love underpants.
