Barbara Pym (1913-1980) and cat at home at Barn Cottage, Finstock in Oxfordshire. Poet Philip Larkin and biographer David Cecil both called her the most underrated writer of the 20th century, and I can definitely see why. If you like Jane Austen, then you will like Barbara Pym's style.
